Description of Głogów

Glogow numbers about 73 000 inhabitants and is the seat of the Glogow District and a significant center of the Copperfield. The town is a place where many transportation lanes cross: the Odra river, railway lines as well as provincial and national roads. The town is a tourist base to picturesque Dalkowskie Hills, Przemkowskie Reserves and also Lubuskie and Leszczynskie Lakelands. The 1000-year tradition, in spite of the last war damage, left its trace in numerous monuments. The Old Town, which creates unique ambience, is really worth seeing.
